From Local Supplier to Export-Ready Growth
In Quetta, Noorzai Enterprises has transformed from a traditional meat supplier into an export-ready enterprise through the establishment of a modern slaughterhouse equipped with automated processing lines, cold storage, blast freezing, and vacuum packaging systems.
Established in 2005, the company has long worked closely with livestock farmers across surrounding districts, sourcing directly from rural producers and supporting local value chains. However, limited processing infrastructure constrained its ability to expand into larger and higher-value markets.
Under the EU-funded Growth for Rural Advancement and Sustainable Progress (GRASP) project implemented by International Trade Centre (ITC) PPAF managed the Access to Finance component through which the enterprise received a PKR 20 million grant, complemented by PKR 6 million in owner investment. The combined investment enabled the business to modernise its operations, improve hygiene and food safety standards, and significantly increase processing capacity.
The transformation has positioned Noorzai Enterprises to access high-value domestic and export markets, particularly in the Gulf region. The expansion has also created 25–30 new jobs, including opportunities for women and persons with disabilities, reflecting how targeted investments can drive inclusive growth while strengthening Balochistan’s livestock sector.
