Chamalang Education Project

PPAF is providing scholarship for good educational services to out of school children of coal miners from Loralai and Kohlu in Balochistan through Chamalang Education Project. This initiative is being implemented in collaboration with Pakistan Army and has improved enrolment tremendously in selected region, which was generally ignored prior to this intervention. The project has supported more than 3,000 students and most of them are enrolled in secondary schools. Currently PPAF is supporting 1,210 students including 395 girls, till higher secondary level, in terms of their tuition fee, which is directly provided to 14 schools. PPAF also supports exposure visit of the students annually. A group of students from Kohlu visited Islamabad in December 2021 and visited places of national significance in Islamabad including National Assembly, Radio Pakistan, and other monuments. The opportunity provided students to interact with people from different environments and learn from cross-cultural experiences.
