Launching of PPAF new Radio program

 

A sequel to PPAF’s popular radio program Roshan Raaheain will go on air from 28 stations of Radio Pakistan from February 20, 2010. The program can also be simultaneously listened from Rawalpindi FM 98 and MW1152 Khz-National Broadcasting System (NBS).

 

The 20-minute radio program in Urdu will be aired regularly every Saturday at 6:35pm.The character- based series revolves around Chacha Khairdin- a man of great wisdom who has travelled widely and is extremely generous at sharing his experiences to motivating people to work for their progress and development. The program will also include voices of the PPAF beneficiaries in the form of case studies/ real life stories besides providing information on PPAF program components: Microcredit & Enterprise Development, Community Physical Infrastructure, Health & Education, Human & Institutional Development, Social Mobilization and Water Management.

 

The program also includes a segment in which listeners will be asked a simple question pertaining to the information disseminated during the program.  Those who give correct answer to the question asked during the program would be awarded. The answers as well as feedback on the program will be gathered through letters, emails and SMS.

 

Roshan Raaheain is expected to help assess the project, address community concerns and bring forth fair and candid feedback from various quarters across the country. The program will serve as a unique monitoring tool based on opinions coming directly from those impacted.
