Celebrating Completion of Construction Phase

A simple but an impressive ceremony was held to mark the completion of construction phase of Health and Education BoT Project funded by Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP) at PPAF Water Management Centre (PWMC).

 

The ceremony was attended by Mr.Kamal Hyat, CEO/MD, PPAF, Mr. Nazim Riaz, Resident Representative of CECP in Pakistan, representatives of partner organizations and senior members of PPAF team.  Mr. Kamal Hyat, thanked CECP for selecting PPAF to carry out the task. He paid tribute to the partner organizations for completing the project with utmost quality and perfection. Mr. Nazim Riaz appreciated the supervisory role of PPAF Water Management centre under the able leadership of Mr.Zaffar Sabri, General Manager, PWMC, and Project Coordinator of the BoT project.

 

CECP selected PPAF to utilize US $12 million to implement a health and education project on Build-Operate-Transfer (BoT) basis through its partner organizations. All these facilities were completely destroyed during the devastating earthquake that struck NWFP and AJK on October 8, 2005. PPAF partner organizations namely Mountain and Glacier Protection Organization (MGPO), National Rural Support Program (NRSP) and Community Uplift Program (CUP) implemented the project that encompasses completion of 16 health and education facilities.

At the end, representatives of partner organizations in their brief address also thanked PPAF and CECP for their support and guidance.
