During her visit to the Water Management Centre, Mr. Zaffar Sabri, General Manager, WMC, apprised the guests of PPAF interventions under Sindh Coastal Area Development Program (SCAD) where it has benefited some areas of Sanghar and Nawabshah districts. Discussing PPAF projects on Drought Mitigation and Preparedness Program (DMPP), Mr. Zaffar Sabri elucidated the purpose of delay action dams and explained how it allows rain water to percolate slowly in ground and recharge the aquifer.

In response, Ms. Amy Freitas appreciated the program targets and said they were excellent and well conceived. She also added that these programs are admirable as they will help improve the income generation of vulnerable.
