Unit (ER& D)
The ERD Unit provides accountability and evaluation support
to the PPAF management. It collects, consolidates and disseminates
evaluative information to POs and poverty alleviation practitioners.
The unit focuses results that positively impact the lives
of the poor, determines how these can be replicated and scaled-up,
facilitates the application of the lessons learnt towards
improved decision making, and strengthens monitoring &
evaluation capacities among POs and poverty alleviation practitioners.

Human Resource, Administration and Procurement Unit
The Human Resource and Administration (HR) Unit is responsible
for building the capabilities and competencies of the PPAF management
team. It does this by providing a suitable work environment
which allows each individual to grow to his best potential.
In addition to the above the unit looks after the day to day
administrative work of the institution, and is responsible for
ensuring that all procurements are in accordance with World
Bank guidelines and procedures.

Media and Communications Unit
The Media & Communication Unit facilitates in building
the corporate image of the PPAF at grassroot, national, and
international levels. M&C focuses on effective utilization
of various media tools and activities for dissemination of information.
The unit formulates necessary strategy to engage media support
and attention of stakeholders, policy makers and opinion leaders
to earn more credibility for the institution.

Finance & Accounts Unit
The Finance and Accounts (F&A) Unit plays a significant
role by forming appropriate financial, administrative and accounting
procedures for both PPAF and its partner organizations. Keeping
in view the requirements of the World Bank and the Government
of Pakistan it ensures proper reporting and funding mechanisms.
Additionally, the F&A unit provides support services to
the line units and facilitates them by channelizing the resources
on need basis and ensuring financial best practices.

Information Technology Department
The Information Technology Department is responsible for all
the computer related technology used within PPAF head office
and HID centre. The functions of this department are split mainly
between hardware and communication services and software services.
More specifically, this department provides support services
to all other departments. Support includes Network Design and
Maintenance, Internet and E-mail Support, Backup and Recovery
Services, Desk Top Services, Web site Design and Maintenance,
Firewall, Antivirus and Security Administration and Maintenance,
Server Installation and Maintenance, Printers Administration
and Maintenance, Computer Related Training Services, Software
Development and Maintenance and Software Support for Third Party
Software

Internal Audit Department
Internal audit unit works for a qualitative improvement in
the maintenance, accuracy and disclosure of financial and operational
information as well as internal control systems of the PPAF.
It ensures reliability and integrity of financial information,
compliance with legal regulations, PPAF policies and donors’
requirements. The Unit is also responsible for following up
on the audit reports of the partner organizations, and interfacing
with the partners at field level to strengthen accounting procedures.
