PPAF convened its First International Conference on Research and Learning from April 2-3, 2014 in Islamabad. The Conference shared the findings of various research studies conducted in close collaboration with The World Bank’s Development Economics Research Group (DECRG) over the past few years. These studies assess and evaluate the benefits of various community-driven development program components implemented by PPAF.
Findings and new research projects from PPAF’s other research partnerships with prestigious institutes like Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP), Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), Lahore school of Economics and Oxford University were also presented, discussed and shared with a wider audience.
Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz was the chief guest at the Conference while The World Bank Country Director Rachid Benmessaud, Rural Support Program Network Chairman Shoaib Sultan Khan, CEO PPAF Qazi Azmat Isa, leading researchers, academics, development practitioners and other dignitaries also participated in the two-day event.
